One of her teachers was handed a 18-month suspended sentence for the same conviction. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, the principal, discovered in August 2010 that Tran Thi Hoai, the other indictee, had used forged academic transcripts and diplomas to secure a job at her school, which is located in Quang Trach District.

"The Indian EXPRESS", India on 22nd March 2012 : A day after unearthing a nine-member gang involved in making fake educational and other documents, UT (Union Territory) Police SIT (Special Investigation Team) busted a four-member gang also involved in supplying fake degrees. The main accused Mukta Sharma (38) was serving as a director of a trust. Her husband Vikas Sharma was assisting her in the business. Kalpana, a Sector 23 resident, who was working as a manager at the sub-office and Naveed Anjum (32), an agent, have been arrested. In addition one of their clients have also been arrested. The four-member gang, had been operating from two offices- a sub office in Sector 35 and a main office being run under the name of Sai Service Education in Zirakpur.

"dailybhaskar.com", India on 20th March 2012 : City police on Monday claimed to have busted a forged documents-making racket with the arrest of two persons and seized fake licenses and documents that could be used to acquire bank loans, college admissions and government's low cost houses, among others. The paralytic accused Dayanand Bansi (48), the mastermind of the racket, along with his two associates Parvez Makrani (32) and Dharamjeet Mishra (43), was booked on the charges of forgery and cheating, the police said. Makrani and Mishra were held yesterday and remanded in police custody for three days, the prime accused has not yet been arrested on the health grounds, as he is suffering from paralysis, the police said. ……Hundreds of forged documents like birth certificates, stamp papers, domicile certificates, election card, leaving certificates, bank stamps, SSC certificates, Pan Cards, police certificate, election card, school leaving certificates, slum photo pass, ration cards were also recovered, the police said.

Kenneth Shong, 45, who is currently serving time in a Wisconsin prison appeared in court on Tuesday to face a fraud charge, years after the complex scheme was uncovered. He is alleged to have worked with associates outside the prison walls to operate a suspected diploma mill that was recruiting students for at least two years before investigators caught on.

The pair appeared in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court today. Mike Mabi and Charles Giwa were arrested after an SABC exposé last week. They were denied bail. Leg chains, the pair looks strained. The men are understood to be the masterminds of a scam.

After being detained for 24 hours, the three Sofia residents will remain under arrest for 72 hours, following a ruling of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office. Pre-trial proceedings have been opened on the case. The offenders were discovered in the course of an investigation on a tip-off for the production and distribution of fake documents, including high school diplomas, university degrees, driving licenses and conviction status certificates. On October 26, anti-mafia task officers captured 35-year-old A.K and 50-year-old I.T. as they were preparing a fake conviction status certificate of a customer.

The disciplined officials are Luong Phuoc Hong, the secretary of the commune Party Committee, and Nguyen Minh Tan, chairman of the commune People’s Committee. To meet the qualifications required for the position they held, the two men had borrowed the real diplomas from their acquaintances, erased the diploma holders’ name, and took out the photos and other personal details. Then they put in their own names, attached their own photos and claimed the degree was theirs, the commission said.

Heinar Ipsberg was given a three year suspended sentence of two months conditional imprisonment. In addition, he has to cover the 530-euro cost of the legal proceedings, court spokeswoman Elo Kirsipuu said.

The dean, Dr. Rahif al-Essawi, steadfastly refused, and on the last day of exams in June, the officer followed through on the threats and beat the dean and threw him in jail, Dr. Essawi said. In Iraq, the police have long intimidated or beaten civilians, whether under Saddam Hussein or during the years since the United States invaded in 2003…..Last year, an investigation by Parliament identified more than 5,000 government officials who had lied about their education, including government ministers and members of Parliament……Shakr Karim, the police officer accused of beating the dean, had needed to prove that he was a college graduate to qualify for a promotion; he wanted to become an intelligence officer in the Interior Ministry, Dr. Essawi said. As Dr. Essawi was being driven home from work in June, a police patrol stopped the car and told him to get out.

Making it look like a sequel to an episode, six more students of Ramjas College of Delhi University have been found to have taken admission on the basis of forged documents this year. A notice put up on the college notice-board on Monday, gave out names of the six students, undersigned by the principal. This is the second phase of the check undertaken by the college authorities after, not even a month ago, on September 14, the college had expelled 21 students for using phoney marksheets for securing admission.

Police also seized fake mark sheets, certificates and testimonials of various courses including MA and BA (honours) and office seals from the branch that claims to give certificates of Dhaka-based Darul Ihsan University. Executive Magistrate Tasnim Jebin Binte Sheikh with the help of Detective Branch (DB) of police raided the 'university branch' at the satellite town of Dinajpur and arrested the 10 people on Friday.
