"thenews.com.pk", India on 23rd December 2011: The Disciplinary Committee of the Punjab Bar Council has ruled that advocate Qaisar Abbas had got himself enrolled as an advocate with the PbBC on the basis of a forged LLB degree. The committee, comprising its Chairman Sheikh Abdul Ghaffar and Jam Muhammad Younas, Shafqat Ali Bhatti, Tahir Nasarullah Warriach and Garwah as members, announced its decision on December 12 while hearing the petition of advocate Muhammad Afzal Khurram. The committee wrote in its decision that it received a verification of the LLB degree of advocate Qaisar Abbas on November 15 wherein it was declared that Abbas did not pass the LLB examination.

Police sources said Anurag Sharma alias Pandit was allegedly running an independent racket to get fake admissions in the college. Investigations have revealed that though Sharma knew accused Naresh Tau but he was not involved with his gang, the sources said. Sharma was a student of BA (Hons) in Ramjas College from 2005 to 2008, said police officials. Deputy commissioner of police (north) I B Rani confirmed that Sharma was arrested after he surrendered in court on Tuesday. "He has been taken in three days police custody and is being interrogated," she said.

"timesofindia.com", India on 12th December 2011: Police have arrested two second-year students of Delhi University's Ramjas College and claimed they were the kingpins of a big illegal admissions racket through which at least 28 students gained entry into the college this year…..Late last month, one of the students accused of using a fake marksheet to get admission in the college, allegedly committed suicide. Sources said the arrested students, Mukul and Sahil Gulati, both studying BCom, ran the racket with the help of a few other senior students who are yet to be traced and some staff members. "They were running an organized operation, making fake marksheets, provisional certificates and other documents for students apart from ensuring their admission into Ramjas. They charged between Rs 1 lakh and 5 lakh, depending on paying capacity," a police officer said.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on Thursday, five were arrested after being caught smoking marijuana together, and further investigation found that one was wanted for drug trafficking. All of the arrested were found to be teaching English in the capital, including in Gangnam-gu, an area priding itself in its academic facilities, and four were found to have forged university diplomas, police said.

Fernandez was among 20 people arrested Wednesday in an undercover investigation into one of Miami-Dade’s burgeoning illegal industries: cash for credentials.

A Chinese couple appeared in the Germiston magistrate's court on charges related to transgression of South Africa's immigration laws as well as having suspected fake UNISA certificates and blank Chinese passports in their possession, a Gauteng police spokesman said. He said the police had found a number of stolen documents that included new Chinese passports, four South African ID's as well as 1 100 signed UNISA certificates suspected to be fake.

"yle.fi", Finland on 01st December 2011: Suspected fake doctor Esa Laiho has admitted to paying $10,000 for a counterfeit medical diploma from Russia. The Helsinki District Court on Thursday released Laiho from custody, but immediately placed him under a travel ban. Laiho used a Russian intermediary to obtain the forged credentials. The preliminary investigation will continue, said Helsinki police, who have requested information from Russian officials. Formal charges have yet to be brought against Laiho.

The company said Citronowicz did not receive a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Be’er Sheva in Israel, as had been previously reported. Citronowicz, who was chief operating officer, was reassigned to the position of director of strategic development, a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said. He forfeited 75,000 stock options, all the options issued to him, and his base salary was cut from $220,00 to $196,000.
