“mumbaimirror.com”, India on 13th September 2011 : At a time when the government continues to form rules to curb sex determination tests, Sion hospital has come across a doctor who submitted a fake work experience certificate to enable him to practise as a radiologist in Rajasthan. This fraud was exposed when the chief medical officer of the hospital in Rajasthan sent the certificate to Sion hospital for verification. As per new guidelines, without a mandatory one year’s experience in a renowned hospital, even a qualified radiologist cannot perform sonographies, commonly used in sex determination tests.
