Bogus doctor arrested
“wishtv.com”, USA on 02nd June 2011 : A Seymour man who admitted pretending to be a psychologist – saying he bought his college transcript and fraudulently treated patients for years – turned himself in to Indiana State Police on Thursday afternoon after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The arrest was the culmination of a 10-month ISP investigation into the actions of David Mowry, 56, Seymour. Police said he forged documentation that he was a doctor of psychology and had treated more than 150 patients over the span of several years, dating back to at least 2008…….ISP said Thursday he forged education documents from Asbury University in Wilmore, Ky., stating he had a master’s degree in social work as well as a bachelor’s degree from Sonata University and an associate’s degree from Columbia College.
