Meanwhile, Edoror has denied the allegation, insisting that he graduated from the institution in 2003 with a Bachelor of Engineering Second Class Honours and obtained a Master of Business Administration in 2010 from the same institution. A group, Concerned Citizens from Esan Central, which made the accusation in a petition to the university, is demanding the withdrawal of degrees awarded to the lawmaker-elect.

“eveningstar.co.uk”, United Kingdom on 28th May 2011 : Adil Razoq was convicted of seven counts of fraud after an Ipswich Crown Court jury brought in unanimous verdicts yesterday. The 38-year-old’s sentence has been deferred until week commencing June 27. Judge John Holt released Razoq on bail until his sentencing. The Syrian-born doctor had denied the charges against him however, when giving evidence he admitted putting down on his CV that he had passed a Royal College of Surgeons’ exam when he had failed it four times……The prosecution’s case was that Razoq, of Hessell Road, London, had knowingly lied about his qualifications.

“234next.com”, Nigeria on 26th May 2011 : A group, Centre for Justice and Democracy (CEJUDE) has alleged that the governor-elect of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun forged one of his academic certificates, which he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before contesting the election. In a petition to the Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, the group said Mr Amosun forged his Masters of Arts (MA) International Finance from the University of Westminster in United Kingdom, which he presented to the electoral body.

Inspector general (ACB) Dharam Chand Jain said a first information report (FIR) has been registered against the four pilots as they got commercial pilot’s licences by submitting fake flying hours’ certificates acquired from the Rajasthan State Flying School. “Pawan’s name was included in the FIR after the school’s flying records were examined. There were fake entries for cross-country flights between Jaipur and Ajmer and Jaipur and Hisar,” the official said.

Bristol-based nurse Rosemary Ngunjoh and taxi driver husband Elvis Tafoh-Ngunjoh were involved, as well as health care assistant Nji Pascal, Bristol Crown Court heard. Ngunjoh, 42, Tafoh-Nagunjoh, 44, of Oxbarton, Stoke Gifford and Nji, 28, of Gwent, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud with others between March 2003 and December 2009……All three admitted making false representations on employment applications. These included fabricated details concerning referees, fabricated details concerning their right to live and work in the UK, falsely obtaining documents and registration with the nursing and midwifery council.

Beach allegedly carried out his crimes near Seattle University and even used fake credentials to try to ask one of his victims out, police said. Police said Beach was unarmed and cooperative during his arrest in Oregon.

Navin Ramji Bhudiya faced three counts of bribery following a Corruption and Crime Commission inquiry. The man is one of nine people charged after the inquiry revealed international students had paid up to $11,000 to have their English test marks altered. The test scores helped them with their visa applications.

Cunningly, the SHO called the doctor and pretended to be a cancer patient. When Dr Rehman told SHO Awan to reach a spot near the Landhi Fire Station, the police conducted a raid and apprehended the suspect. During interrogations, it was discovered the Dr Rehman had some fake degrees in his possession and played with the lives of innocent people.

Sizakele Malambe was teaching at Mhlangatane primary school for three months with a suspect O’ level certificate. She was paid a total of E61 431 for 24 months as a teacher. Malambe was then transferred to Mhlangatane where she used another name and was arrested after teaching there for three months. She is also charged with submitting false information. She appeared before Magistrate Ndumiso Shongwe who granted her bail. She returns to court on June 9.

Susan Kelly claimed she completed her degree at Sunderland University in 1996 and had gained a teaching qualification two years earlier at Sunderland College. An investigation later revealed that while she was a qualified nurse, she had dropped out of the degree course and never sat the teaching qualification, which was not available at the college. Newcastle Crown Court heard the fake certificates were riddled with mistakes, including spelling errors and stated she had gained a pass, when the degree document should have stated a mark.

According to District Superintendent of Police N Shivashankar Reddy, the police arrested Bayyapu Ram Reddy, the kingpin of the racket and 15 others based on a complaint filed by the local Tahsildar on April 29. Ram Reddy (33) belongs to Kamanpur mandal and owns Sunny Internet Centre and Colour Xerox in Peddapalli. He supplied fake certificates to people in need through mediators. The police found that the 20-member gang lured poor people into making the fake certificates like SSC, Intermediate, Degree, Polytechnic and ITI certificates and even election photo identity cards.
