Pakistan: Law minister possesses fake degree

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: According to the Dawn News dated 12 July 2010, PhD degree of Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Paliamentary Affairs, Mr. Babar Awan has been found guilty of possessing a fake degree. Mr. Awan had claimed that he has earned a doctorate degree from the University of Monticello, which is a diploma mill. The State of Hawaii has banned the university and declared it as a non-recognized and non-chartered university.
